Avatar Boards

As you complete quests, you will collect an item called avatar coins. These are used to buy clothing and other useful items from the Avatar Boards. Both are essential to help you in battle (Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross]). The advantages of the Avatar Boards will be described below.

Health Points, Ability Points, Cost, and Medal Nodes

These four types of nodes are important to strengthen your character. You can buy them using your avatar coins from every avatar board. So, it is advised that you buy these items first from the male and female boards. When you buy the Health Points node, it increases your total health. The same goes for the Ability Points and Cost nodes. When you buy medals, they can be Chip, Dale, or Cid medals that strengthen your attack medals. After you have bought all of these nodes, then you can buy the avatar parts for your gender so you can save your coins (Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross]).

Filter

The filter is a handy feature to make sure you buy the abovementioned nodes before the avatar parts. When in the Avatar Boards menu, you want to tap on the “Filter” Button. From there, you will want to choose the highlighted items in the picture to the right to select them. Press “OK” to set the filter. This helps because when you have bought all of the four types of nodes mentioned above on the board and then press the return arrow (located in the top left corner), that board will disappear from the list. If you want to buy the clothing nodes later, go back to the filter and have only “In progress” selected.

Having the filter set as seen in the picture does not allow you to buy three Premium Boards. They are called Gems, which are used to strengthen your Keyblades. They do not use avatar coins, but you have to use jewels to buy them. These Gems are useful when your Keyblades are at level twenty-five and above. So you don’t have to buy them early on in your game (Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross]).

Perks

Perks are given to you when your character wears specific avatar parts. You can access them when you tap on your character in the top left corner, then by tapping on “Outfits.” When there, you want to go to the “Accessories” tab and select the “Perks button as shown in the picture.

A perk is a type of skill that your character will take with them in battle. As an example, the Critical Hit Perk increases the chances that you will inflict a critical hit on your enemies. Another example is that the Raid Boss Perk increases your chances of finding a raid boss. While the chance of it happening is small, you can put more accessories with that skill to increase the percentage it will happen (“KHUX ~ For Beginners”). Not every accessory has skills attached to them, and you can only have five accessories on you at a time. You can change them as you get more parts. When you are done with your changes, tap on “Save” to keep your outfit (Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross]).
