Online Safety

This game has features that you will want to be careful with. It has you create your own profile and has a chat feature so you can talk with other players, both global and just those in your team. You can even back-up all your data to your Facebook account and post there too. With all these different sites, your online presence could be compromised. Here is some worthwhile advice:

Do Not Share Any Sensitive Information

A player’s profile that others can see (Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross]).
You do not want to give any stranger personal information they could use to hack your accounts (“Online Safety”). The first step you might want to consider is not to use your real name when creating your account. You will have to give your age because it is needed if you want to buy anything with real money (Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross]).

Next, you can chat with players in a team, which is called a party, that you join. You can create one with your friends whom you would trust more. However, you are able to join a party with complete strangers. There is also a section where you can talk to players globally. You would tap on X-tres on the home screen and then on Community (Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross]). But if you join in any conversation with people you don’t know, never give any of your information away. If they ask, do not answer them (“Online Safety”).

Safety with Facebook

As stated above, you can backup your data to your Facebook account. This is so you can save your progress if you would need to delete the app and return to it at a later time. You can also see from the picture of the player profile above is a button to post your game status to Facebook. However, one item that was cut from the picture is the player’s id number in order to protect this player’s identity. If you would post, the id would be posted for everyone to see (Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross]). So, it is recommended that you do not post to Facebook. If you want to though, then it would probably be best to go to your Facebook post and set it to private, so only friends see it. You can also set your whole account to private so strangers do not see private information, like your address, where you go to school, etc.
